 Activities available:

Kayaking & Canoeing:
Sea kayaking can start from the centre onto the Gare Loch, the Clyde and beyond. River paddling can go from easy grade 1/2 such as the Teith up to grade 3/4 like the Orchy. Open canoeing can take place on the same rivers. Both kayaking and canoeing can also take place on flatwater lochs, trips around the islands of Loch Lomond are a favourite, watch out for Wallabies!

Dinghy Sailing:
RYA courses and Blairvadach courses ranging from introductory to an advanced level. Starting from the Gare Loch sailing sessions can stay local or venture out into the Clyde. There is a wide variety of sailing craft available
allowing participants to sail individually, or in small groups.

Biking:
Blairvadach is home to a custom built bikes challenge course. This can test everyone's level of balance and agility on a bike. Courses may make use of local forrest trails or venture further to well maintained purpose built trails which allows continuous development of riding skills.

Walking:
Blairvadach offers a range of walking sessions, from wet welly walks, and adventurous gorge walks to hill walks with stunning scenery. As with all our activities the degree of challenge of the walk will be pitched to precisely match the level of the groups ability.

Climbing:
The famous Blairvadach totem pole and tree climb, are always a favourite with groups. Our modern indoor climbing wall allows us to learn the skills of climbing whatever the Scottish weather brings us. When appropriate we always like to get out to our local crag for climbs and abseils, and for some groups we can go to some of Scotlands best single pitch crags for an authentic climbing experience.

Ropes Course:
Another famous Blairvadach activity, our purpose built low ropes course challenges indiviual abilities (balance, posture, etc) and develops team skills (communication, co-operation, teamwork etc) and most of all, is great fun!

Orienteering:
A series of challenging courses starting within the building,  progressing to the centre and Blairvadach House grounds providing a range of courses to suit all abilities. Start with the basics and progress on to a score course or timed competition.

Boulder Scrambling:
Bravely explore the Succoth boulders, an historical hiding place of Rob Roy. Climb over, under and between the rocks, through the gaps and the darkness; a challenge for the individual and the team.

Pond/Seashore Study:
Think the water's just dull and empty? Think again!

Explore the world of the minibeast, find and identify loads of different creatures and learn about the environment and eco-system.
