How do I make a booking ?

Contact the Centre office on 01436 820491 to discuss your requirements and availability of dates / courses.

We will then send out e-mail the appropriate paperwork.  Please note that booking conditions apply.

Office hours are 0915 till 1230 and 1330 till 1630 hrs.

Where is the Centre ?

The Centre is located on the the east shore of the Gareloch just 1 kilometer north of Rhu village.

The A814 links with the A82 at Dumbarton. The A82 links with the M8 via the Erskine bridge.

Travel from the North via Loch Lomondside to Arden then via Helensburgh.

From the East, travel via Drymen, Alexandria then via Helensburgh.

What does the Centre offer ?

The Centre offers a range of activity courses and residential accommodation for organised groups as well as activity courses for the general public at various times of the year.

The Centre is an ideal venue for small business group seminars and meetings.

A range of charges reflect the various service levels available covering day and self programmed use to courses offering full catering and instruction.

 

Throughout the school term time, the Centre provides opportunities for Glasgow City Council schools to participate in its programme of Outdoor Learning and Adventure

What is AALA / AALS ?

The Adventure Activities Licensing Authority / Service is the body that inspect providers of adventure activities and issues providers with their license to operate.

Smoking / Alcohol

In line with Glasgow City Council Policies, The Centre is a no smoking establishment and alcohol is not permitted on the premises.

Insurance

The Centre is owned and operated by Glasgow City Council and operates under the City Councils' Public Liability Insurance Policy.

Course participants are recommended to arrange their own personal accident and personal effects insurance if this is of concern to them.

Visiting Group Leaders responsibilities

Group leaders are responsible throughout the visit for the pastoral care of their group members at all times, including the overnight supervision of their group.

Where groups are resident overnight in the Centre, the group leader / organiser is responsible for the liason between the Duty member of Centre staff, in relation to the management of the Centres residential programme and operational Health and Safety issues affecting their group and the comfort and safety of other Centre residents.
