Facilities at Blairvadach

Blairvadach Outdoor Education Centre has served the needs of schools and groups from the City of Glasgow and the wider communities of the Strathclyde area since its opening in 1974. We are able to offer accommodation for the duration of your activity course  enabling you to get a good nights rest either before, or after your exertions in the hills or on the water. We hope that the friendly atmosphere, comfortable rooms and homely catering will contribute to a memorable visit.

facilities sleep up to four in twin bunks. Our older accommodation holds the same numbers but has showers and toilets adjacent.

Our modern changing facilities mean that showers and changing rooms are always available for course participants.
(bring a towel, change of clothes and wash bag)

Blairvadach provides a full range of culinary services according to the level of course.

For residential courses you can expect 3 meals and day (packed lunches where appropriate).

Non-residential groups may be served everything from breakfast to tea and cakes at break-time and hot meals, depending on the course.

For residential and multi-day course participants we have a very efficient drying room.

This ensures that even the wettest of clothes dry overnight and are ready for another activity the following day.
