Bikeability Scotland Instructor (BSI) Training Course

A 10 hour course split over two 3 ½ hour sessions with three hours of home learning that enables you to deliver Bikeability Scotland levels 1 and 2.

Course Outline

During the BSI course, you will learn how to plan, prepare, deliver and conclude training sessions, including dynamic risk assessments of playground and on-road training locations. For further information visit the Cycling Scotland website

Prerequisites: 

You should ideally be a competent bike rider and must be a minimum of 16 years old, or 18 when working independently

Accreditation:

This course is SCQF accredited at Level 5 with 1 credit point when you complete the question paper after the practical course

What will I need?

You will need to bring a bicycle in working order and helmet and clothes appropriate for the weather.
