Blairvadach OEC is one of the largest residential outdoor education centres in Scotland. The centre is perfectly located on the east shore of the Gare Loch adjacent to Loch Lomond National Park. Just south of the Arrochar Alps, this location gives ease of access to all the land and water environments required to deliver a quality outdoor education programme. The centre boasts first class residential accommodation, high quality food, modern equipment and a highly skilled, qualified and experienced team of instructors.
For over 45 years the centre has been recognised for delivering market leading residential outdoor education programmes for schools, colleges and universities. All courses facilitate personal and social development and meet educational outcomes through challenge and adventure.
In addition, the centre offers a variety of educational activity courses and programmes throughout the year to a wide range of clients, including youth groups, third sector charitable organisations and National Governing Body instructor qualifications.
Blairvadach is a recognised course provider by the Royal Yachting Association, Scottish Canoe Association, Mountain Training, Cycling Scotland, The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award, National Indoor Climbing Award Scheme and the John Muir Trust. We are recognised by The Association of Heads of Outdoor Education Centres, the Brilliant Residentials Campaign and hold an Adventure Activities Licensing Authority licence.
